Dr. Steven Sage Hider, OD
OPTOMETRIST
Dr. Steven Sage Hider earned his Doctor of Optometry from UC Berkeley and joined Primary Eyecare Center in 1994. He specializes in family vision care, contact lenses, and eye disease management.
Deeply involved in both his profession and community, Dr. Hider has held leadership roles with the Kiwanis Club of Atascadero, the Tri-County Optometric Society, and the California Optometric Association, and has chaired the local Toys for Tots program for over 15 years.
He lives in Atascadero with his wife and two sons and enjoys hiking, camping, skiing, and working on his 1965 Ford Mustang.
Dr. Quyen T. Immoos, OD
OPTOMETRIST
Dr. Quyen Immoos grew up in Southern California and joined the practice in 2004. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Occidental College and her Doctor of Optometry from UC Berkeley, with clinical training at the Livermore VA Hospital, Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, and Sequoia Eye Surgery Center.
Dr. Immoos enjoys the strong sense of community on the Central Coast and is an active volunteer at her daughters’ school. She lives with her husband and three daughters and, outside the office, most enjoys simply being Mom.
Dr. Lauren R. Tackett, OD
OPTOMETRIST
Dr. Lauren Tackett was raised in San Francisco and came to the Central Coast in 2008. She earned her Biology degree from UC Davis, where she received a UC Regent Scholarship, and her Doctor of Optometry from UC Berkeley. She completed a one-year residency at the San Francisco VA Hospital, focusing on ocular disease and low-vision rehabilitation.
A past president of the Tri-County Optometric Society, Dr. Tackett focuses on staff development and practice management, striving to foster a culture of compassion, respect, and teamwork. Outside the office, she enjoys dance, exploring the Central Coast with her family, and spending time with their labrador.
Dr. Amelene Bartlett, OD
OPTOMETRIST
Amelene Bartlett obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from CSU, Channel Islands then attended Western University of Health Sciences, College of Optometry where she received her Doctorate of Optometry. During her rotations in optometry school, she was able to experience disciplines of optometry that included primary care, ocular disease, contact lens, and low vision, as well as pediatrics and vision therapy. She had the opportunity to participate in an optometric residency in ocular disease at the VA Central California Health Care System in Fresno, CA.
In her free time, Dr. Bartlett enjoys doing any activities that involve being outdoors including swimming, hiking in National Parks, traveling to new places, and making homemade pizza from scratch with her family.

We accept both vision and medical insurance plans. We will ask for your insurance information when scheduling your appointment in order to verify coverage prior to your appointment for your convenience.

Contact Lens Fittings
Our doctors are experts in fitting all types of contact lenses, including soft, hard, and specialty lenses. We also offer fittings for patients with astigmatism and presbyopia.
Myopia Control
Myopia, or nearsightedness, is a common vision condition that can worsen over time. Our optometrists can provide myopia control treatments to slow down the progression of the condition and prevent further vision loss.
Dry Eye Treatment
Dry eye syndrome can cause discomfort and affect your vision. We offer a variety of in-clinic and at-home treatments to relieve dry eye symptoms and improve your eye health.
